Wellness Wednesday: Keeping Your Distance
Riley here coming at you from my pillow fort. Some of you may remember that I was practicing social distancing before it was cool. I used to have really high anxiety in new places and meeting new people. For me my humans found that training was what worked best to build my confidence and decrease my anxiety. They would take me out on adventures and give me lots of positive praise and treats. The trick was to push me a little out of my comfort zone but not too far (it’s a delicate balance). Because of COVID-19 I’ve currently reverted back to my old ways (temporarily). If you don’t enjoy social distancing there are still things you can do to keep busy. Hikes are a great option as long as you stay 6 feet away from other people. You could also do one of the many treat puzzles we love by @nina_ottosson (sold by @amazon , @petco and @outwardhound ) for a mental workout at home. Are you enjoying social distancing or feeling cooped up?
